Description:

I used True Brew's Porter kit plus I added some extra items to this batch including pure maple syrup, black patent grains and candy sugar. My goal for this batch was to develop a very portery beer that offered a nice buzz after 1 or 2!

Notes

Grains: I used a coffee grinder to grind the Black Patient, then I read about Astringency in beer......actually I think this added a good bitter taste to the beer. It's like the after taste of a Marlot.

Boil: I used Amber Candy Sugar ground in the coffee grinder to a fine powder
