Description:

Here in the Finger Lakes region of NY we might not be in California but I for one thing its just as beautiful and our beer even better. We brew this one to enjoy during the weeks at the cottage in the summer. Bring it along on your boat during fishing and you will certainly have stories to tell once back on shore.

Ingredients

Based on 5 Gallons (18.9 Liters) of Beer:

Grains:
9 lbs. Pale Ale Malt (Briess)
0.5 lbs. 2-Row Caramel Malt 60L (Briess)
Hops:
1 oz. Northern Brewer (Whole Hops): 8 HBU
0.5 oz. Northern Brewer (Whole Hops): 4 HBU
0.5 oz. Northern Brewer (Whole Hops): 4 HBU
Yeast:
WYeast - California Lager™ - Liquid

Homebrewing Process

Mash

1. Add 3.00-3.50 gallon(s) of 168.00° F water.
  9 lbs. Pale Ale Malt (Briess)
  0.5 lbs. 2-Row Caramel Malt 60L (Briess)
  Hold 3.00-3.50 Gallon(s) at 155.00° F for 60 minutes.
