Description:

An all extract approach to creating this German local specialty that is a rarity in the US. With plenty of, but not overpowering, bitterness from the Saaz and Spalt hops and the signature clarity of this bright yellowish bear it is sure to win rave reviews.

Ingredients

Based on 5 Gallons (18.9 Liters) of Beer:

Extract:
1.5 lbs. Wheat (Alexander's)   -  Liquid Extract
5 lbs. Pale Malt Extract (Alexander's)   -  Liquid Extract
Adjuncts:
  5 oz. Corn Sugar
Hops:
1.25 oz. Spalt (Whole Hops): 5 HBU
0.5 oz. Spalt (Whole Hops): 2 HBU
0.5 oz. Saaz (Whole Hops): 1 HBU
Yeast:
WYeast - German Ale™ 1007 - Liquid
WYeast - Kolsch™ 2565 - Liquid
